At the Currency Conference's gala dinner in Singapore on 5 October 2011, co-chairmen of the International Association of Currency Affairs, Richard Haycock and Tom Ferguson, presented the fourth IACA Excellence in Currency Awards 2011.

The winners were:

• Best New Banknote Series - Bank of Uganda
• Best New Currency Feature - Hologram Industries for DID®
• Best New Currency Innovation, Process or Product - Hong Kong Monetary Authority for the design coordination of the new Hong Kong note series
• Best Public Education Program - Bank of Canada
• Best Currency Website - Central Bank of the Dominican Republic

In addition, there were two winners of the Lieftime Achivement Awards - Alex Jarvis, Director, Global Currency for Authentix and former General Manager of the Bank of England Printing Works; and Jaime Pacreu, Director General Mexico for Securency and former Director General, Currency Issue for the Banco de Mexico

The awards, which are sponsored by Currency News, were introduced in 2007 to promote and recognise excellence in currency production processing, management and distribution and are open to any organisation or individual products and systems of the currency industry, as well as issuing authorities, commercial banks and enforcement agencies.
